Every year, the Ella Moore Award of Character celebrates two graduating seniors from Worthington-area high schools who embody the core values that define strong character—values inspired by Ella Moore herself, a founding administrator of PCC renowned for her tireless, can‑do spirit. PCC awards $1,000 to each winner in recognition of their efforts to live out its twelve Character Qualities of the Month.

Jimmy Alvarado Dominguez
Jimmy’s journey is a testament to perseverance. Balancing 13 AP and college-level courses with over 255 hours of community service, Science Olympiad leadership, and peer tutoring, he has continuously uplifted his peers through resilience and compassion.

Henry Nagel
Henry’s strength lies in his steady leadership and character. As a cross-country captain and recipient of the Ken McBreyer Award for grit, Henry’s athletic dedication is matched by his academic pursuits in Mechanical Engineering (with a passion for aerospace) and his studies in both French and Spanish.
Both Jimmy and Henry clearly reflect the Ella Moore Award’s spirit—championing character not just through achievement, but through meaningful, everyday leadership.
