Circle of Grandparents

A grandparent in every elementary classroom

A grandparent in every classroom is the dream. Senior “elders” have been involved with this volunteerism effort since 2000 and find great support and satisfaction by participating. Worthington Schools supports grandparents with a small office to store instructional materials and a library of books that are used. The local Worthington Library keeps books for us as well.

We are continually looking for volunteers!!

 

Not everyone has a grandchild in elementary schools but if you have a desire to draw upon and share your life experiences to teach the concepts of character to your “adopted” class, we want you. No classroom or teaching experience is needed as COG program provides support and materials through monthly optional monthly meetings.
